First 2D Art Assignment

This assignment focused on the use of shape and light in a work by the neo-futuristic concept artist Syd Mead. I chose this piece for the study:

I felt that the varied use of shape and the interplay of light was especially strong here.

I produced it in Photoshop, and used the above painting for reference. I will also include the breakdown in red of the shapes Mead utilized in his original work.
